PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multiplexing/demultiplexing component which is applicable to a multi-core fiber with improved practicality.SOLUTION: An optical multiplexing/demultiplexing 1 includes a first fiber unit having an MCF 10 and a GRIN lens 12, a second fiber unit having an MCF 20 and a GRIN lens 22, and an optical filter 30 which is interposed between the GRIN lens 12 of the first fiber unit and the GRIN lens 22 of the second fiber unit and causes transmitted light and reflected light of light emitted from cores of MCFs 10 and 20 to impinge on the cores of MCFs 10 and 20. In the first fiber unit, the MCF 10 and the GRIN lens 12 are held so that a front end of the MCF 10 and one end of the GRIN lens 12 are in contact with each other. In the second fiber unit, the MCF 20 and the GRIN lens 22 are held so that a front end of the MCF 20 and one end of the GRIN lens 22 are in contact with each other. |
