PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument illuminating device capable of illuminating an indicating needle and an indicator of a display panel to display them with sufficient brightness, and to increase a packaging density on a circuit board.SOLUTION: In the instrument illuminating device, an instrument housing 8 includes: a peripheral wall part 80 for setting a space between a display panel 6 and a circuit board 1 along a peripheral edge part of the circuit board 1; a standing reflecting peripheral wall part 83 which surrounds the periphery of a light source 7 mounted on the circuit board 1 and extends upward beyond a light emitting surface of the light source 7; an optical path guiding reflecting wall part 84 provided continuously to an end part on the upper end side of the reflecting peripheral wall 83 so as to be directed in an outer peripheral direction; and a first reflecting wall part 85 for transmission illumination of an area of an indicator 5 of a display panel 6 provided continuously to an outer end part of the optical path guiding reflecting wall part 84. A part for housing an electronic component mounted on the circuit board is formed by a space S defined by the first reflecting wall part 85, the optical path guiding reflecting wall part 84, and the standing reflecting peripheral wall part 83. |
