PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide genes and gene sets, the expression levels of which are useful for predicting outcome of colorectal cancer.SOLUTION: A method of predicting clinical outcome in a subject diagnosed with colorectal cancer comprises determining evidence of the expression of one or more predictive RNA transcripts or their expression products in a biological sample of cancer cells obtained from the subject. In one aspect, a method for predicting the clinical outcome in a subject diagnosed with colorectal cancer following surgical resection of the cancer, comprises determining the expression level of one or more predictive RNA transcripts or their expression products, in a biological sample comprising cancer cells obtained from the subject. |
