The invention relates to a device comprising mechanisms for lifting and lowering the cover and the seat of a WC, comprising a structure fixed to the rear part of the mouth of a WC bowl and housing a first axle and a second axle arranged co-linearly and separated at the ends thereof. Said first and second axles comprise, on the adjunct co-linear ends, a first cam and a second cam designed to receive and hold the end of a first cable and a second cable. The ends of the cables respectively connect to a first pedal element and a second pedal element, that are independent of each other, but mounted in a single structure. The device can comprise a mechanism actuated by a hydraulic piston in order to lower the cover and seat automatically when the WC tank is emptied.
