A device-to-device (D2D) communication method and a user equipment. The method comprises: a signal sending device receiving a cellular timing signal sent by a base station, and determining a set time T' 1 of the base station according to the cellular timing signal; in a device discovery sub-frame, the signal sending device receiving a device discovery signal sent by a signal receiving device, and recording an arrival time T' 4 of the device discovery signal; calculating, according to the arrival time T' 4 and the set time T' 1 of the base station, a time T' 5 of sending a D2D data signal to the signal receiving device; and sending the D2D data signal to the signal receiving device at the time T' 5. By means of the present invention, a signal receiving device can receive D2D data signals sent by signal sending devices at the same time.
