Chain saw including a cutting device (2) fitted to rotate around a pinion drive (7) and a chain guide (4) which can be immobilised on a body (5) by means of a clamping device (7, 8) and which can be moved in two directions either towards or away form the pinion drive (7) in such a way as to reduce the tightness of the chain (2) or to tighten the chain, respectively, characterised in that said chain saw includes a thrust device (8, 9) for automatically distancing the chain guide (4) from the pinion drive (7), when the clamping device (7,8) is unclamped, said thrust device(8, 9) comprising, first, a ram (9) against the back end (21) whereon the back end (4d) of the chain guide (4) supports itself and, second, an elastic member, preferably constituted by an helicoidal spring (8) supported, by means of the opposite ends thereof, against a fixed element of the body (5) and against a surface (9a) of the front end of the ram (9). |
