PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable or handheld machine tool for suppressing a vibration impact including a hammer mechanism which operates by compressed air such as an electric hammer drill and an electric chipper.SOLUTION: A handheld machine tool includes a tool attachment port for attaching a chisel tool on an operation axis 10. An air pressure hammer mechanism includes a hammer 13 which moves on the operation axis 10, and an air chamber 15 which is sealed by an exciter 12 and the hammer 13, and transmits the motion of the exciter 12 to the hammer 13. The exciter 12 is driven by a motor, and reciprocates between a front dead point positioned apart from the tool and a dead point positioned near the tool. A control device includes a supercharger 19 and a controlled output valve 32. When the exciter 12 approximates the dead point positioned apart from the tool, the controlled output valve 32 permits the flow-in of air into the air chamber 15 from the supercharger 19. |
