The invention relates to an automatic method that offers increased security for exterior motor vehicle door handles. For this purpose, the handles slide a few centimetres backwards (or into the doors) so that a cover can then fully close and seal the cavity of the exterior handle. This can happen when the driver is inside the vehicle or when the driver exits the vehicle and activates the vehicle alarm. One of the most important aspects of the method is that, by concealing the exterior handles inside the doors, the driver is protected when s/he is inside the vehicle because, even if s/he forgets to activate the locks, the doors cannot be opened from the exterior since the exterior handles are not visible. This high-tech solution reinforces the idea of a vehicle that is more dynamic and intelligent. |
