PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment device and a treatment method enabling selection of an operation method according to properties and applications of sludge and circumstances of each municipality, in addition to a more compact and economical treatment device for sludge, which uses only biomass fuel, and is thus environmentally-friendly, naturally, and which does not require a pelletizing machine and a mixing device for auxiliary fuel.SOLUTION: Dewatered sludge is dried with a drying machine as powder or in a skin shape to produce dried sludge, which is fed while additionally installing a means for continuously supplying, separately from a mean for supplying biomass auxiliary fuel to an upper part of an in-furnace hollow in a stabilized combustion state in a biomass combustion furnace having a means for continuously supplying biomass auxiliary fuel and burning it, and thus the dried sludge is burned in a floating state or on a furnace floor surface, producing incinerated ash, steam is generated with a heat exchanger due to combustion heat of the biomass auxiliary sludge and the sludge, and the steam is used for drying the dewatered sludge. |
