TRANSMISSION LINE ADDRESS DUPLICATION DETECTION METHOD AND SUBSTATION TERMINAL USED FOR SAME METHOD

Provided are a transmission line address duplication detection method and a substation terminal used for the same method which are capable of accurately detecting disconnection of a transmission line in a control/monitoring signal transmission system that adopts a transmission synchronization method synchronizing a primary station connected to a single control unit with a plurality of substations corresponding to a plurality of controlled devices using a transmit clock, and that performs data transmission via a shared data signal line. In a series of pulsed signals output from a primary station to shared data signal lines, management data areas are established that are configured by a plurality of pulsed signals, which are different from control/monitoring data areas that are configured by data of a control data signal and data of a monitoring data signal. The substations treat random number data generated at the stations themselves as original numbers, and on the basis of the original numbers, generate a plurality of comparative check-use data comprising a plurality of bits of data. Signals comprising the plurality of comparative check-use data are superimposed on the management data areas, whereupon the primary station assesses the presence or absence of address duplication at the plurality of substations on the basis of results of comparing the plurality of comparative check-use data in accordance with a predetermined convention.
