The windscreen wiper device (1) has a wiper motor (2) which is fastened to a support tube (3), and a wiper bearing (4), in which a wiper shaft (5) is mounted. The wiper shaft is driven by the wiper motor for actuating the wiper arms (6) connected with the wiper shaft. The wiper bearing has a holding element, in which an end region of the support tube is partially inserted and fixed. A connecting region has an elastic connecting element between the wiper bearing and the support tube. The connecting element is so arranged that it allows balancing movement between the wiper bearing and the supporting tube during overloading.
