The device (1) has upper pressing element (110,210) and lower pressing element (120,220) with pressing element surfaces (113,123,213,223) respectively. A press pad (115,125,215,225) is provided on pressing element surfaces. The press pad is kept in tension with respect to the pressing elements by clamping device arranged at one side of pressing elements. A first bracket (311,321,411,421) is set at one side of pressing elements and second bracket (312,322,412, 422) is set at other side of pressing elements. The first bracket is provided to clamp the press pad using elastic restoring force. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for mounting press pad in the device; and (2) a method of detecting crack in press pad.
