The connector (10) has a housing (11) for receiving a row of spring contacts. The housing has a mounting surface to be arranged on a contact pad exhibiting a surface of a circuit board (2) and another mounting surface to be arranged on another contact pad exhibiting another surface of another circuit board (3). The spring contacts are arranged to form a successive sequence at a same position, where contact ends are formed mutually parallel to each other. The housing comprises a housing base body that encloses center sections of the spring contacts in a form fit manner. An independent claim is also included for an electric connector assembly.
