The method involves manufacturing a green tire with a tire carcass, sidewalls and tire beads with one or multiple tire construction drumming. A tire belt (1) is arranged and connected coaxially to the tire carcass. The wound bandages (2,3) are applied over the belt layer. The winding process is carried out with two winding heads and the wound bandage comprises reinforcing material. The winding process starts with each winding head from the central region of the tire belt. The wound bandages are guided to the edge of the tire belt by a winding operation.
