<p>This optical sensor, as being used together with multiple traps that specifically bond to a substance to be detected, detects whether or not the substance to be detected is present in a specimen. Said optical sensor is equipped with first and second metal layers that face each other. The optical sensor is configured so as to supply electromagnetic waves to the first metal layer. The first and second metal layers are made of gold. A hollow area, which is constructed so as to be filled with the specimen, is provided between the first and second metal layers. The multiple traps are physically adsorbed to the bottom side of the first metal layer and/or to the top side of the second metal layer. The thickness of the first metal layer is between 5nm and 30nm. This optical sensor is small and has a simple structure.</p> |
