PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discontinuously reproduce sound from an arbitrary position even when a sound circuit incapable of reproducing sound from the arbitrary position is employed.SOLUTION: A sound generation device includes: a channel control unit (410) that starts reproduction of a plurality of channels so as to cause delay with a predetermined time lag, for predetermined sound; and a volume setting unit (412) that sets a volume of any one of the plurality of channels to a perceptible limit volume or more, and setting volumes of the other channels smaller than the limit volume. When the progress of sound is discontinuously changed, the channel that is set to the limit volume or more is changed to another one. The sound generation device changes a sound generation channel to a channel at a different reproduction position so as to jump to an arbitrary reproduction position and reproduce the sound. Continuous rewinding and fast-forwarding can be enabled as well as simple rewinding and fast-forwarding. |
