Disclosed are a method for accessing a packet switching (PS) network, a WLAN access system and a user equipment (UE). The method for accessing a PS network comprises: receiving indication information sent by an HSS/AAA server or a UE attached to a WLAN, the indication information being used for indicating whether the UE possesses a capability of providing information for accessing a PS network (S110); and determining, according to the indication information, to establish a PDN connection after authentication is successful or after a layer 3 message sent by the UE is received, so that the UE accesses the PS network through the WLAN (S120). By means of the method for accessing a PS network, the WLAN access system and the UE according to the embodiments of the present invention, whether the UE possesses a capability of providing information for accessing a PS network is indicated to a WLAN access system, so that the WLAN access system is capable of correctly establishing a PDN connection according to the indication, and therefore different types of UEs can all access the PS network through the WLAN, so as to improve user experience.
