The aim of a device (1) and a method for folding foldable blanks (4) is to be able to fold blanks, with and without material to be packaged, cleanly and accurately even in high production runs. For this purpose, the device (1) has a conveyor belt (2) for transporting the blanks (4) and a folding cylinder (14) for receiving a first area of a blank (16) from the conveyor belt (2), wherein the conveyor belt (2) is furnished with a plurality of suction openings (12) which are arranged in such a manner that, together with an associated vacuum unit (10), they hold a second area of the blank (24) on the conveyor belt (2) at least during the folding. |
