PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for storing device information about a communication device connected to the communication apparatus in a communication apparatus. SOLUTION: A gateway apparatus determines whether or not a transmission destination port number of a packet received from a communication device under control of the gateway apparatus is 53 (S13). If the port number is 53 (S13:YES), namely, if the packet is determined as a packet for requesting a name solution (so-called Question demand in DNS protocol), the gateway apparatus 1 generates a packet including an address of the gateway apparatus 1 as a response of the name solution and transmits the generated packet to the communication device (S15).
