A droplet jet teeth cleaning system comprising a handle portion, a head portion and an interface structure for connecting the handle portion to the head portion. The handle portion includes separate supply lines for liquid and gas and the head portion has separate supply lines for liquid and gas. The handle portion liquid and gas supply lines, respectively, are arranged to align only with the head portion liquid and gas supply lines when the head portion is operatively positioned on the handle portion. The system also includes a sealing interface arrangement for sealing the head portion gas line to the handle portion gas line and the head portion liquid line to the handle portion liquid line when the head portion is operatively positioned on the handle portion. The system includes control means for preventing fluid from escaping from the supply lines in the handle portion when the head portion is removed from the handle portion.
