Adjustable lens mounting assembly

An adjustable lens mounting assembly (1) has a detent system (5,8) which provides a defined vertical movement of a lens per detent index. A calibration of a lens (4) during assembly of an image sensor is therefore achieved with no moving parts, and generation of foreign material is minimised. Furthermore, gluing of the components can be dispensed with.
