PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to allow a penetration part to continuously maintain a short circuit condition due to a conductor, thereby achieving prompt discharging, by allowing a contact maintenance part to prevent the enlargement of a penetration hole of the penetration part when the secondary battery is externally penetrated. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery (100) comprises a case (110), an electrode assembly (120), a short circuit-inducing member, and a cap plate (160). The case has an accommodation space therein. The electrode assembly is inserted into the case. The electrode assembly includes a first active material-non-coated part (122) having a first electrode and a second active material-non-coated part (123) having a second electrode. The short circuit-inducing member is electrically connected to at least one of the first active material-non-coated part and the second active material-non-coated part of the electrode assembly. The cap plate seals the case. The short circuit-inducing member further includes a contact maintenance part (133) on at least a portion of a region which is extended along a longitudinal direction of the electrode assembly. |
