PURPOSE: A heavy duty pneumatic tire with improved bead durability is provided to improve the durability of a bead part by preventing the deformation and heat generation of the tip end of a body ply in the bead part when a tire is applied with a load higher than a static load. CONSTITUTION: A heavy duty pneumatic tire with improved bead durability comprises a bead part (114) and a body ply (108). The bead part comprises a bead core (116) and an apex (118). The body ply surrounds the bead part by turning up. A steel cord (120) reinforces the outer side of the turn-up part of the body ply. A nylon cord (124,126) surrounds the turned up body ply by the inner side of the steel cord. |
