PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a wheel capable of improving muddy water resistant performance without increasing weight. SOLUTION: This bearing for the wheel has a bearing sealing device on both ends between an inner member and an outer member relatively rotating via a rolling element. The bearing sealing device is composed of opposed annular seal plate 2 and elastic seal member 3. The seal plate 2 is composed of a cylindrical part 2a suitable for the outer periphery of the inner member and a vertical plate part 2b rising from its end part. The elastic seal member 3 is formed by fixing an elastic body 5 to core metal 4. The core metal 4 has a cylindrical part 4a suitable for the inner periphery of the outer member and a vertical plate part 4b let down from its end part, and is opposed to the seal plate 2. The elastic body 5 has two side lips 5a and 5b contacting with the vertical plate part 2b of the seal plate 2 in the radial direction of the core metal 4, and two radial lips 5c and 5d contacting with or approaching an outer peripheral surface of the seal plate 2 in the radial direction. The length in the radial direction up to an outer diameter surface of the elastic seal member 3 from an inner diameter surface of the seal plate 2, is set to 9-15 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
