<p>The invention concerns a method for a random access procedure between a base station (BS) and user terminals (UE), wherein the base station (BS) signals to the user terminals (UE) at least two preamble formats with different guard times (GT) for the random access procedure, at least one user terminal (UE) uses a broadcast signal (TS) which is also received by the base station (BS) for synchronization of a transmission of uplink signals with a transmission of downlink signals, and at least one of the at least one user terminal (UE) that uses the broadcast signal (TS) for said synchronization selects a preamble format out of said at least two preamble formats for the random access procedure, a base station and a user terminal therefor.</p> |
