SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING THE HEALTH OF A PATIENT USING FACE RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGY

PURPOSE: A patient condition monitoring system through face recognition and a patient condition monitoring service providing method using the same are provided to enable a medical officer and a guardian to immediately recognize an emergency situation of a patient and therefore immediately check vital sign information and the cause of the emergency situation. CONSTITUTION: Each of multiple condition detecting terminals (100) is installed for each monitored patient. The multiple condition detecting terminals are equipped with a measuring instrument (120) and obtain facial images and vital sign information of a patient. The measuring instrument measures vital signs of the patient. A patient monitoring server (200) is connected with the condition detecting terminals through wired/wireless communications. The patient monitoring server detects whether an emergency situation occurs to the patient. The patient monitoring server transmits a result of the detection to the terminals (300) of a medical officer and guardian for the patient.
