PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve deterioration of operability under information protection by completely protecting specific internal information when a portable terminal is passed to the hands of a third person, and making it possible to perform the use of a function originally irrelevant to communication in a thin client system and access to data. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 102 is provided with internally stored various functions and a secret information setting table for defining high/middle/low secret levels according to the secrecy of data. The portable terminal 102 is provided with various functions registered in the secret information setting table and a secret information setting table operation interface for setting the secret level of data. The function or information set to be "high" in secrecy in the secret information setting table is stored in a remote storage part 126. Also, the portable terminal 102 side is provided with a local storage part for storing the duplication of the function or information defined to be "low" or "middle" in secrecy in the secret information setting table in the portable terminal.
