PURPOSE: A copolymer has excellent viscosity, water absorption, and dispersity and has excellent salt resistance and/or emulsifying capacity. CONSTITUTION: A copolymer is manufactured from a (meth)acrylic acid; an α,β-ethylene-based unsaturated monomer having a hydrophobic hydrocarbon group; a phosphorylcholine-based monomer represented by chemical formula 1; and a monomer including a crosslinking agent with at least two unsaturated ethylene bonds. In the chemical formulas, Z is hydrogen or R^5-O-CO-; Y is a C1-20 alkylene oxy; R^1 is hydrogen or C1-5 hydrocarbon group; each of R^2, R^3, and R^4 is hydrogen, C1-6 hydrocarbon group, or hydroxy hydrocarbon group; R^5 is hydrogen, a C1-10 alkyl group, or C1-10 hydroxy alkyl group; m is an integer from 1-20; and n is an integer from 2-5. |
