PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renewal construction method capable of achieving a work in a short time without using any temporarily-installed operational panel during the renewal work of an elevator. SOLUTION: The renewal construction method for the elevator includes a step of mounting a new apparatus such as an operational panel which can be juxtaposed to an existing apparatus out of new apparatuses while enabling the operation by the existing apparatus during the night time in order to change the new and existing apparatuses of an existing elevator, and connecting the new apparatus and the existing apparatus to each other with a cable, a step of providing the operation by the existing apparatus to passengers during the day time, and a step of executing the operation by the new apparatus during the night time while the existing apparatus is replaced by the new apparatus which cannot be juxtaposed to the existing apparatus out of the new apparatuses.
