PURPOSE: A microwave adaptor and an oscillator system related with the same are provided to transfer forward electromagnetic waves emitted by the microwave adaptor by matching the output impedance of the microwave adaptor to the input impedance of a wave guide. CONSTITUTION: An input segment (312) is formed of a conductive material. A first coaxial portion (306) comprises a first internal conductor (334) coupled to the input segment and a first external shielding segment (338). A capping portion (308) is connected to the first coaxial portion to electrically connect the first internal conductor and the first external shielding segment and comprises an air gap aligned with the end of the first internal conductor. A second coaxial portion (304) comprises a second internal conductor (328) coupled between the input segment and the first internal conductor.
