PURPOSE: A crosswalk-lighting apparatus and method can light lower, reducing dazzling effect to a driver and a pedestrian. CONSTITUTION: A case is located each waiting area of a crosswalk. A lighting part (120) radiates light to the crosswalk. A display section (130) transmits information to a driver. A control unit controls the illumination of the lighting part. An optical sensor (150) senses an object on the crosswalk.
