摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and lightweight shock absorber capable of varying damping forces at elongation and contraction sides and reducing cost. <P>SOLUTION: The shock absorber D includes: a cylinder 1; a piston 2 slidably inserted into the cylinder 1 and partitioning the inside of the cylinder 1 into one chamber R1 and the other chamber R2; an electromagnetic relief valve 4; and a direction switching valve 5 which has one communication position 5b connecting the one chamber R1 to the upstream side of the electromagnetic relief valve 4 and connecting the other chamber R2 to the downstream side of the electromagnetic relief valve 4, and the other communication position 5c connecting the other chamber R2 to the upstream side of the electromagnetic relief valve 4 and connecting the one chamber R1 to the downstream side of the electromagnetic relief valve 4 which is switched to the one communication position 5b when pressure in the one chamber R1 exceeds pressure in the other chamber R2 with pressure in the one chamber R1 and other chamber R2 regarded as pilot pressure, and is switched to the other communication position 5c when pressure in the other chamber R2 exceeds pressure in the one chamber R1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
