PURPOSE: An electrode assembly has high design freedom degree, an excellent capacity property and a durability property using combinations of at least two kinds of electrode units having a different area. CONSTITUTION: An electrode assembly (100) comprises combinations of at least two kinds of electrode units (110-130) having a different area and is laminated so that a stepped pulley can be formed between the electrode units in which an anode (40) and a cathode (50) are facing each other on the boundary surface between the electrode units; the rate of the cathode thickness to the anode thickness facing each other on the boundary surface between the electrode units is 0.5-2; the electric capacity when performing the charging/discharging for 500 times at 25°C is at least 60% of the electric capacity after performing the charging/discharging for one time; and the thickness variation rate of the entire electrode assembly is 15% or less.
