摘要 A magnetic field sensing probe comprises a ferromagnetic material 120, a sense coil 135, and an electromagnetic shielding can 110 with an open end 114. The ferromagnetic material comprises a base portion 121, a coil portion 125 and at least one flux portion 122, 123 extending from the base portion. The sense coil 135 comprises windings that encircle the coil portion 125 about an axis 136. The sense coil is rotationally orientated with the axis 136 of the sense coil windings directed through the open end 114. An electrically conductive cap 115 may be provided over the sense coil. Several similar sensors may be combined in an array. The sensor responds most strongly to fields aligned with the axis and passing through the opening in the shielding can. The sensor can be used in electromagnetic compatibility testing to identify components in a device that cause excessive stray fields.
