摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# The installation (1) has a lift cage carrier (2) movable in a travel space (3), where two lift cages (20, 21) are arranged at and coupled to the carrier by an adjusting device (34). The adjusting device has two racks (60.1, 61.1) connected with the respective cages, and a pinion (29) is engaged in the racks. The racks are configured to move the cages in opposite directions in response to rotation of the pinion. The pinion is fixed relative to the carrier and coupled to a drive (70). A cage guide rail is connected to the carrier, and the cages are guided at the guide rail. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Double-decker lift installation. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The design of the lift cage carrier with the lift cages requires relatively few components, thus reducing overall mass of the installation, and achieving a high level of efficiency in co-operation of the pinion with the rack, and hence realizing high adjusting speed of distance between the cages in a reliable manner with a low output of noise for achieving quiet operation of the installation.
