PURPOSE: A three-dimensional image automatic discriminator and a device thereof are provided to automatically discriminate whether a format of input images is a two-dimensional (2D) image format or a three-dimensional (3D) image format. CONSTITUTION: An image discrimination module (220) discriminates whether an input image is a 2D image or a 3D image. An image processing module (230) processes the input image according to a discrimination result of the image discrimination module. A display module (240) displays the processed images in the 2D or 3D. The image discrimination module discriminates the kind of image according to a comparison result by comparing one or more values among the boundary line detection of a boundary line detecting unit, a comparison value of a color difference comparison unit, or a comparison value of an edge comparison unit with a predetermined threshold value.
