PURPOSE: A hot water supply system is provided to significantly reduce pressure losses by setting the second predetermined opening of a hot water mixing valve to minimize the pressure losses. CONSTITUTION: A hot water supply system comprises a hot water storage tank (10), a heating unit (9), a tapping pipe (17), a water supplying pipe (18), a hot water temperature setting unit (33), a hot water use-up detection unit, a combustion water heater (3), an additional heating preventive unit, a hot water mixing valve (28), a mixing temperature control unit, and an opening change unit. The opening change unit changes the opening of the hot water mixing valve around tapping pipe in order to enable an additional heating operation in the combustion water heater to obtain hot water at a target temperature to catch up the temperature change of hot water caused by the opening change around the tapping pipe.
