Monitoring of a manufacturing process

The method involves connecting a mold component (3) communicating with a molding tool (2), where emitted sound impulse is received by a sound sensor after passing the mold component and is evaluated for monitoring the manufacturing process. The sound impulse is sent or received by a piezoelectric element (4) of the sound generator or sound sensor. The piezoelectric element has a piezoelectric ceramic material, and is designed flat. The piezoelectric element is fixed to the molding tool by an adhesive layer (6), by its vacuum or by a mechanical retention. An independent claim is included for a device for monitoring a manufacturing process for manufacturing a mold component by using a molding tool.
