A method for switching operation modes and a terminal using the same are provided to eliminate a switching noise by preventing voltage drop when switching operation modes. A terminal(100) comprises a multimedia regeneration part(110), a call processing part(120), a headset processing part(150), a mode switching part(130), a voltage charging part(140), and a control part(170). The multimedia regeneration part regenerates multimedia data. The call processing part transmits and receives voice signals for a call. The headset processing part outputs the multimedia data or signals for the call to a headset. The mode switching part switches the multimedia regeneration part or the call processing part to the headset processing part according to a control signal. The voltage charging part charges the mode switching part with operation start voltage up to a certain level in order to reduce voltage drop when the mode switching part makes a switching operation. The control part controls the switching operation of the mode switching part. |
