PURPOSE: A device for locking the lid of a food waste collection box is provided to mutually couple a main body formed with a bent metal sheet, a back cover, and a binding member formed with a bent steel wire, thereby maintaining durability, and improving convenience for assembly. CONSTITUTION: A device (2) for locking the lid of a food waste collection box has a binding member (3), a main body (4), an elastic piece (5), a supporting plate (6), and a working piece (7). The binding member comprises an upper horizontal part (31) and vertical parts (32,32'). The upper horizontal part is put on the upper side of the lid. The vertical parts are extended from both sides of the horizontal part, and are vertically and downwardly bent. Multiple latching grooves (33) are longitudinally formed outside the vertical parts at equivalent distances. The main body includes an upper plate (41), a lower plate (42), an inclined latching part (40), and a back cover (44). The vertical parts are respectively inserted into through-holes at the upper plate and the lower plate so that the main body moves up and down. A stair-shaped (40a) or inclined latching part (40) upwardly protrudes from the front end of the upper plate is inserted into the flange groove of an enclosure. A bent contact part (42a) is extended from the front end of the lower plate, and is in contact with the wall of the enclosure. The back cover closes the opened portion of the rear side of the main body. |
