PURPOSE: A system and a method to perceive operating conditions of an acoustic horn comprise a diagnostic unit that can compare more than one aspect of vibration signals with a threshold value or a pattern to determine if the acoustic horn operates appropriately. CONSTITUTION: A method to perceive operating conditions of an acoustic horn is as follows. Said vibration of said acoustic horn is perceived using a sensor outputting vibration signals indicating the vibration perceived while the acoustic horn is operated. Said vibration signal is compared with at least one threshold value or pattern (S400). A report signal is generated based on said comparison result (S404). Vibration of an acoustic horn driver housing is perceived using said accelerometer (S406).
