摘要 An array substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance the electric charge property by reducing the storage capacitance. A gate line is formed on a substrate. The first and second common electrodes(131,132) are formed on a pixel area of the substrate in parallel to each other. A gate insulating layer(151) is formed to the entire surface of the substrate so that the gate line and the first and second pixel electrodes are covered. A data line is arranged on the gate insulating layer, crossed with the gate line and defines the pixel area. A passivation layer(152) is formed on the entire surface and covers the data line. The first pixel electrode(141) is formed on the first passivation layer and overlapped with the first common electrode. The second common electrode is formed on the passivation layer and overlapped with the first pixel electrode. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) is formed at the crossing portion of the gate line and the data line and has a gate electrode, a semiconductor layer, a source electrode and a drain electrode.
