METHOD OF CLEANING MEMBRANCE MODULE FOR PURIFYING WATER WITH PHYSICAL BACK WASHING AND PURIFYING WATER SYSTEM USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method of cleaning a membrane module for purifying water passing through a physical back washing process and a water purifying system using the same are provided to perform washing by conducting a physical back washing process such as an air scrubbing process and an air back washing process etc and to perform the air back washing process instead of a back washing process using conventional back washing water. CONSTITUTION: A method of cleaning a membrane module for purifying water comprises: a water purification process which discharges processing water to a treated water outlet (15) while raw water flowed in from a raw water inlet (13) passes through a membrane module (14); an air scrubbing process which performs scrubbing on the surface of the membrane module by air generated from a diffuser positioned in the low end of the membrane module when the treated water outlet is positioned at the top end portion of the membrane module; and an air back washing process which physically performs an air back washing on an air line for purifying water induced from the air line of the diffuser by air flowed in a backward direction.
