PURPOSE: An electrical connector is provided to install a device, which restricts the position of an end of a central conductor to a regulated position, on a terminal in the case of connecting coaxial cables. CONSTITUTION: An external conductor which is made of conductive materials (100) includes a tubular part which is open in the connecting direction with the other connector. The external conductor supports a connected coaxial cable in order to hold the central axis of the coaxial cable in an approximately perpendicular position to the connecting direction. The external conductor is electrically connected to a shielded wire of the coaxial cable. An insulation part (200) which is made of insulating materials is held by the tubular part. A terminal (300) which is made of conductive materials is held by a terminal holding unit in the insulating part. The terminal is electrically connected to the central conductor of the coaxial cable. |
