PURPOSE: A canister fixing device and a control method thereof are provided to stably fix a canister to an accurate position and reduce time in which a load is applied to a drive unit. CONSTITUTION: A canister fixing device (100) comprises a socket (110), a pin (120), a drive unit (130), and a locking plate (150). The socket is received in a trunk and is formed on the outer surface of a canister having a propeller and a frame. The pin is coupled to the socket and fixes the canister to the trunk. The drive unit generates driving force for moving the pin. The locking plate is inserted between the pin and the frame of the canister or between the pin and the inner wall of the trunk to prevent the pin from being separated from the socket.
