PURPOSE: A cylindrical sleeve joining device and a joining method are provided to utilize a sleeve when no steel pipe proper to a designed dimension exists and to manufacture the sleeve having large strength and excellent dimension precision while reducing raw costs. CONSTITUTION: A method for joining a cylindrical sleeve includes the following steps of: preparing a molded body with a unit to be locked and a locking unit on both sides of an open arc-shaped body unit in which the angle of the arc is over 180 degrees; overlapping the unit to be locked and the locking unit by bending the molded body to be closed using a curling mold, which makes the locking unit be positioned on the top surface of the unit to be locked; and forcibly inserting the locking unit into the unit to be locked by pushing the locking unit while the outer circumference of the molded body curled is supported with a joining mold (600). |
