PURPOSE: A hot water storage type hot water supply device is provided to allow a user to recognize malfunction and the supply of hot water of different setting temperature by informing a user of the malfunction with a malfunction managing unit. CONSTITUTION: A hot water storage type hot water supply device comprises a hot water storage tank (11), a water supplying pipe (12), a tank heating unit, a tapping pipe (13), a water supply bypass pipe (34), a mixing ratio changing unit, a tank tapping temperature sensor (26), a water supply temperature sensor (22), a mixing temperature sensor (28), a tank side flow sensor (27), a water side flow sensor (23), an auxiliary heat source, a temperature control unit, a tank side flow sensor malfunction detecting unit (122), and a malfunction managing unit (125). The malfunction managing unit stops that hot water is supplied from the hot water storage tank to the tapping pipe with the mixing ratio changing unit when the malfunction of the tank side flow sensor is detected by the tank side flow sensor malfunction detecting unit. The malfunction managing unit prohibits the mixing temperature from being controlled by the temperature control unit regardless of sensed temperature of the tank tapping temperature sensor by supplying only water from the water supply bypass pipe to the tapping pipe. The malfunction managing unit only controls heating temperature with the temperature control unit.
