METHOD FOR ASSIGNING INDEX OF CODEBOOK IN MULTIPLE ANTENNA SYSTEM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for assigning the index of a codebook in a multiple antenna system and a recording medium recording the same are provided to show adaptive characteristics regardless of the size of an existing parent codebook or selective constraints and to obtain improved performance gain in an incorrect feedback channel compared to existing techniques. CONSTITUTION: A method for assigning the index of a codebook comprises the steps of: designating the size of a reference codebook to generate (S310); generating N candidate reference codebooks of size N-1 in the manner of deleing one beamforming matrix from a child codebook of size N (S312); measuring the minimum relative distance between the N candidate reference codebooks (S314); designating a candidate reference codebook having the largest minimum relative distance as the optimal candidate reference codebook (S316); calculating the size of the optimal candidate reference codebook (S318); and designating the optimal candidate reference codebook as the final reference codebook if the sizes of the optimal candidate reference codebook and the reference codebook to generate (S330,S322).
