METHOD FOR REPLACING ENGINE CRANK SHAFT IN FLOATING STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A method for replacing an engine crank shaft in a floating structure is provided to minimize labor force and time required for a work by enabling the replacement of a crank shaft without the cutting of a hull. CONSTITUTION: A method for replacing an engine crank shaft in a floating structure is as follows. A pipe, a cable, and a gangway connected to an engine are separated from the engine. An engine block of the engine is separated from a generator (20). The engine block is divided into upper and lower blocks (11, 12) using a lifting lug (C1) installed inside of a floating structure. A crane (C2) installed outside of the floating structure is connected to a crank shaft (13) of the engine block through a hatch of the floating structure.
