PURPOSE: A lip seal of a vessel thruster is provided to prevent the damage and deformation caused by an excessive pressure difference by transferring pressure to control the internal pressure of a seal chamber. CONSTITUTION: A lip seal of a vessel thruster, whose outer end(101) is fixed to a thrust block, comprises first and second sealing part(111,112). The first sealing part is formed on the inner end of the lip seal and contacts a rotary shaft(140). The second sealing part is formed on the side of the first sealing part. When the middle portion of the lip seal is deformed by the pressure difference between right and left sides, the first sealing part is separated from the rotary shaft and the second sealing part contacts the rotary shaft. A fluid flows left and right through pin holes(113) of the second sealing part. |
